CHVFD Celebrates National Volunteer Month

National Volunteer Month

This April, during National Volunteer month, the Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Department celebrates its members and their service.

Since 1913, the Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 of Capitol Heights Maryland has provided fire protection to the Town of Capitol Heights and surrounding communities. We’re proud our century of service to the community and generations of volunteers who have contributed their valuable time and skills to make the department what it is today.

Our members share countless hours in training, community outreach, and fire, rescue, and EMS services. We thank them for their dedication and selfless service to our community!

We’ll be participating in many different community events during the month of April – stop by and see us at one or all of these events.

This rewarding program provides us with a differnt opportunity to help citizens live in warmth, safety, and independence.
